The traditional Solidarity Day organised by the Lycée Français de Madrid took place on 23 April. This year, eight organisations took part.
The Niger Project was represented by Christian Moreau, its founder, and Sophie Castelblanque, a volunteer in Madrid.
Daphné, Rim and Olivier, Year 10 pupils, acted as our ambassadors throughout the day and proved to be very committed, efficient and enthusiastic.
The aim of this day is to raise pupils’ awareness of the work carried out by the Niger Project in order to collect as many donations as possible.
Every year, we have the opportunity to catch up with former pupils who took part in the pen-pal scheme and who are keen to hear the latest news about the Project.
Once again this year, a big thank you to the organisers and the LFM for a day full of meetings and discussions!
In addition, a training workshop for teachers was held in Tessa over the weekend of 11 and 12 April, in collaboration with the local Primary Education Inspectorate.
Finally, the third-quarter reports are currently being drafted in both Niger and Spain.
