Primary school
A supportive environment for learning and growing
At primary school, pupils acquire the essential foundations for learning in a supportive, progressive, and caring environment. This key stage aims to consolidate fundamental knowledge while developing curiosity, a love of learning, and the personal development of each child.
Our school values the diversity of abilities and talents. Alongside reasoning and critical thinking, it aims to develop observation skills, hands-on exploration, artistic sensitivity, motor skills, and creative imagination.

A comprehensive and balanced education
The French national curriculum outlines the knowledge and skills to be acquired and provides annual benchmarks to guide progression in learning in each subject area:
- proficiency in the French, Spanish, and English languages: oral expression, reading, writing, literature, and language study (grammar, spelling, vocabulary, conjugation);
- understanding the world: community life, history, geography;
- scientific education: mathematics, experimental sciences, technology, and IT;
- physical education and sports;
- arts education: music, visual arts;
- civic education or “living together.”
Teaching is provided by French primary school teachers alongside Spanish and English native speakers, ensuring high-quality language learning.
Primary school levels
Primary school welcomes children from the age of 6 and includes five levels:
- Year 2 (“CP” – age 6)
- Year 3 (“CE1” – age 7)
- Year 4 (“CE2” – age 8)
- year 5 (“CM1” – age 9)
- year 6 (“CM2” – age 10)

Supporting every pupil towards success
Teaching teams pay close attention to supporting all pupils, offering personalised support when necessary to help each child succeed academically.
Regular assessments allow teachers to track progress and ensure pupils gradually master the common core of knowledge and skills. Families are informed via each pupil’s digital school report, an essential tool for dialogue and monitoring.
Information meetings are organized at the beginning of the school year and throughout the year, using various formats, to develop a closer relationship between the school and families.
Educational projects to learn differently
Throughout the year, pupils take part in a wide range of educational projects:
- mathematical and scientific challenges
- contests and projects centered on the French language and reading
- immersion in Hispanic and Anglo-Saxon cultures (bilingual projects, traditions, etc.)
- meetings with authors of children’s literature, artists, illustrators, etc.
- participation in charity initiatives
- sports tournaments
- field trips
- themed school trips
These projects help give meaning to learning and help create a school environment based on openness, discovery, and shared growth.
