Our school’s project

The school’s project 2025-2030: Academic success, Sustainable Development and International Openness
The Lycée Français de Madrid offers its students a structured and stimulating academic environment, conducive to their personal growth and the achievement of their goals. The school stands out for the quality and rigour of its teaching, based on an active education approach that encourages critical thinking, autonomy and the involvement of each student in their learning. This academic rigour, combined with personalised support, effectively prepares students for their post-secondary professional future.
At the heart of the educational project, multilingualism enables students to develop strong language skills while creating an opening to cultural diversity. This international dimension is strengthened by exchanges and collaborations with other schools around the world, ensuring educational continuity beyond borders.

Axis 1: a school that helps its students succeed
The school reaffirms its ambition to guarantee each of its students a demanding, inclusive and supportive education. The welcoming of new students, the transition between cycles and the strengthening of links between year groups allow for a smooth and gradual integration. Personalised support is provided to address the diversity of profiles, through programmes tailored to students with difficulties, special educational needs and outstanding academic records. The development of critical thinking, the promotion of project-based learning, and the rational use of digital tools and artificial intelligence drive this dynamic. It should be highlighted that the opportunities offered to students and the continuous training of staff complete this initiative so that everyone can achieve an ambitious goal.
Axis 2: diversified school programmes open to international options
The school offers a variety of academic programmes with a strong international focus, based on a rich linguistic and cultural offering that values multilingualism and French as a language of culture. Specific programmes (European sections, ELCE international section, BFI), international exchanges and projects, as well as the award of certifications, enhance this openness. A coherent and interdisciplinary humanities education is provided from the earliest stages of schooling. Support with specialised study programmes, guidance on higher education in France, Spain or other countries, and professional partnerships allow each student to build an ambitious and personalised plan for the future.

Axis 3: work, study: grow at LFM
The school offers a friendly environment conducive to everyone’s growth, based on respect for common rules, an active school life and a peaceful atmosphere. The sense of belonging is strengthened by events that promote unity, recognition of collective achievements, and student participation in school life. The quality of life at the school also lies in its adapted facilities, the daily support provided by the teaching staff and the attention paid to safety and well-being. The school health service together with external professionals, plays a key role in prevention and support. Finally, fluid and open communication with families and partners helps strengthen the cohesion and appeal of LFM.
Axis 4: a school committed to looking to the future
The school reaffirms its commitment to a responsible future by fully integrating the principles of sustainable development and citizenship into its educational culture. Campus improvements, educational projects for sustainable development, and specific actions to reduce our ecological footprint reflect a collective desire to take action. Driven by republican and humanist values, the school encourages commitment, solidarity and responsibility among its students through a civic education programme, debates, anti-discrimination initiatives and active participation in the democratic life of the school.
