On Friday, May 22, 2026, students from classes 404 and 408 had the opportunity to welcome Bernard Morand, a lawyer from the Nantes Bar Association, for an introduction to the French judicial system as part of the 4ème EMC (Moral and Civic Education) curriculum. While justice is a value, it also refers to a whole complex system organized around jurisdictions and actors with well-defined tasks.
What is the path of a law? Upon what principles does justice rely? How is it organized and who dispenses it? These were just some of the questions that sparked a shared reflection based on concrete examples of court cases. It was also an opportunity for our students to take a closer look at the legal profession, and perhaps, for some, to find their calling!
