Intermediate vehicles at the heart of a cross-disciplinary project

The Lycée Français de Madrid recently had the pleasure of welcoming Bertrand Barbedette, a professor from the ESTACA engineering school in Laval, as part of an innovative educational project dedicated to intermediate vehicles.

This project, jointly led by the Economic and Social Sciences (SES) and Engineering Sciences (SI) departments, allowed students to take a cross-disciplinary look at the technological, economic, and environmental challenges linked to the evolution of our modes of transport.

A number of conferences were organized for students, offering a rich opportunity for exchange around the mobilities of tomorrow. At the same time, a special evening event brought together the educational community for a screening of the documentary La nouvelle aventure mobile (The New Mobile Adventure), extending the debate in a convivial and participative setting.

Carried out in partnership with ESTACA and “The Shifters,” this project allowed everyone to question the future of the car and, more broadly, sustainable mobility solutions. Intermediate vehicles, positioned between the electric bicycle and the electric car, stand out today as an innovative, eco-efficient, and promising alternative in the face of energy and environmental challenges.

Through this initiative, our educational community was able to discover and examine these new forms of mobility, thereby opening up concrete perspectives for imagining tomorrow’s travel.
