On Tuesday, September 29, around thirty high school students from the LFM attended a meeting with President Emmanuel Macron at Complutense University, on the theme ‘Democracy in Europe in the Digital Era.’

Following welcoming remarks by Rector Joaquín Goyache Goñi, the students observed a discussion between the Head of State and writer Javier Cercas, followed by an exchange on media with Clara Jiménez Cruz, founder of Maldita.es, a website specializing in ‘fact-checking’, and Fernando Arancón, director of El Orden Mundial, an international analysis media.

To conclude the event, young people were given the floor. In a direct dialogue, LFM students and university students had the opportunity to address Emmanuel Macron, ask him their questions, and share their thoughts on the future of Europe, the daily impact of technology, and civic engagement.
