Generation 2008: Time Capsule Unburial

On June 22nd, the former pupils of Saint-Exupéry, about to receive their baccalaureate results, reunited to unbury their time capsule. The Year 12 pupils have all grown in ways they couldn’t have imagined four years ago.

Opening and reading the letters they had written as Year 9 pupils to the selves they have now become brought joy, surprise, laughter, and some indescribable expressions and reactions. It stirred up emotions, a sense of unity and shared experience. The time capsule has preserved a snippet from their past and we, their English teachers, hope it will inspire their future as they are about to write a new page in their young adult lives.

We hope this moment will stay with them—not just as a memory of the past, but as inspiration for the future they are about to embrace.
